There are three viewpoints on the grounds why the names and the positions of Imams have not been asserted in Koran. The present article, analyzing these viewpoints, has commented on them as well. The writer has demonstrated that the Koran does not assert the names of Imams; but on the other hand, clarifying their attributions through some verses, burdens the prophet with introducing them to the community so that they shall come under a divine visitation in knowing and obeying them. The writer’s moderate view is against the excess and defect ones in this respect
