The present article deals with the role of setting in Islamic Jurisprudence. Exigencies of time and place are the fundamental determiners for addressees of religious commandments. These subjects function as causes for commandments; consequently, there exist many different views as regards the impact of setting in religious commandments. The article is intended to study and explore the concept of setting and its part in discretion, the one which redounds to dynamism of the Islamic jurisprudence in every places or span of time, presenting its importance.
