One of important topics on consultation in Islam which draws scholars’ attention is methods of giving consultation for which a variety of views have been developed. There are mainly four ways: speculative, psychoanalytical, learning, and psychological methods
The main research topic in this paper is that whether there are actual instances of giving consultation in the speech and interaction of our high-ranking religious leaders which may match with the methods elaborated and considered by psychologists and education experts. As it addresses a very significant issue, one must first determine which method(s) is confirmed in the body of the Infallibles’ speech and whichever received any scientific method of rejection, and this must be done prior to navigation in the bulk of the traditions available to us
